About This Build

Our first van—the build that started it all!

The Van

  • 2015 Ram Promaster 3500 High Roof 159” Wheelbase

  • Inline 4-cylinder 3.0L turbo diesel engine

  • Front wheel drive

  • Heated power folding mirrors, Bluetooth touchscreen infotainment, Backup Camera, Fog Lights, 6-way adjustable premium cloth seats, USB & MP3 input

  • Factory installed fixed rear door windows

  • Van was previously owned by a local business and was covered in a vinyl wrap. We removed most of the wrap, but left the Colorado/American flag on the rear doors to stand out

Exterior

  • Installed OEM fixed sliding door window

  • MaxxAir Deluxe 5100k 10-speed roof fan (works as intake or exhaust), tilting fan cover allows it to be operated while driving or in the rain

  • Solar panels fixed to rooftop

Electrical system

  • Two 100-watt Renogy solar panels

  • 30-amp PWM charge controller (LI capable)

  • 100AH Mighty Max Intelligent Gel Deep Cycle Battery—perfect size for application, easily expandable if one wanted extra storage

  • 1000-watt inverter hardwired into electrical outlet

  • Dimmable LED flush mount ceiling lights

  • Under bed storage area light

  • Electrical outlet/USB outlet and Renogy battery monitor located by bed/kitchen

Living Space

  • Fully insulated with rigid foam board and spray foam

  • 2 burner stainless steel propane stove

  • Removable 5 lb. propane canister for easy refill (propane tank & shutoff valve are located in cabinet base below the sink/stove)

  • Stainless steel sink

  • Foot pump actuated sink faucet for simplicity and water conservation, located to the right of the base cabinet (no hot water)

  • 6 gallon fresh/6 gallon grey water storage under sink. Easy to keep multiple fresh tanks in under bed storage for additional water, and easy to refill on the road with removable design.

  • Magnetic strip mounted above sink for storing knives & silverware

  • Flip up table to create a small eating space or extra countertop while cooking; easily seats two with folding chair

  • 26 Quart 12v Refrigerator on slide out drawer for easy access

  • Hidden storage in bench seat with flip up top

  • Short Queen memory foam 8" mattress

  • Endless storage potential under the bed! Slider tray extends out 50" with two removable thru-axle mounts for bicycles

  • Removable bike repair "shop-stand" mounted to rear doors for bike maintenance on the go

Interior Finishes

  • Beetle kill pine walls & ceiling sealed with water-based topcoat to preserve the gorgeous natural wood grain without yellowing

  • Cedar accent trim & flip up seat top

  • Smartcore waterproof vinyl flooring—durable & easy to clean

  • Custom cabinetry with recess panel cabinet doors featuring antiqued blue paint for a pop of color with an aged look to complement the rustic beetle kill pine walls

  • Soft-close drawers with lots of room for storing pots & pans (or more gear!)

  • Butcher block countertop & flip up tabletop sealed with natural beeswax polish

  • Custom sewn window curtains to block front cab/rear windows; cellular shade on sliding door window
