Important Notes & Pro Tips

  • Surface Preparation: For a lifelong bond, the mounting surface must be completely free of wax, dirt, and ceramic coatings. We strongly recommend a deep clean with isopropyl alcohol before application.
  • Color Note: Out of the box, the parts may appear slightly darker than your weathered factory trim. They are designed to mellow and match perfectly after a few washes and UV exposure.
  • Temperature for Install: For the best adhesive performance, install in a dry environment between 60°F and 90°F. In colder weather, use a heat gun to gently warm the van's sheet metal to ensure the 3M VHB adheres properly.
  • Cure Time: Allow 24 hours for the adhesive to fully cure before exposing the van to high-pressure car washes or high-speed driving.
